We are excited to announce the keynote speakers for this year's php|works and PyWorks conference to be held in Atlanta, Georgia in November.

In the opening keynote, Kevin Dangoor, the founder of the TurboGears Python web framework project and, more recently, the Paver Python build tool project, will be speaking about growing your open source community. As Kevin notes,

Regardless of which tools you use, whether you're leading an open source project or a member of its community of users, there are many things you can do to bring more people into your project.

This will be a great talk for anyone heading up or working on an open source project.

Jay Pipes, a staff engineer on Sun's Drizzle project and well-known member of the MySQL and PHP communities will be finishing our conference with his keynote entitled “Confessions of a Serial Coder.” Jay says,

Come join Jay in a fun look at the silly, dogmatic ways in which we, as coders, tend to view the world, and maybe you'll leave with a different perspective on who next to flame-bait on Slashdot.

This talk is sure to entertain, educate and give you something to think about.

Both Jay and Kevin are dynamic, interesting speakers and we are honored to be hosting them at this year's php|works/PyWorks conference. Hope to see you there!
