

The changes primarily affect our use of cookies (we now use Google Analytics to track usage, and are launching a new chat-based help system that requires additional cookies), and the fact that promotional e-mail settings can now be changed directly from your account page, whereas before you had contact customer support.
We also wanted to clearly specify in the policy that we do not sell or rent our user list to any third party; as of now, the only circumstance under which your name will be passed on to a third party is if (a) we need to in order to provide you with service (e.g.: handing your name and address to our shipping company so that we can send you a book), or if you sign up for a sponsored event. We felt that the previous verbiage was not as univocal as it could be, so we've tightened it up a little.
