DRM no more

Good news, everyone—in celebration of our fifth anniversary, we've removed all passwords from our PDF files—past, present and future!

It seems a little strange to say (or write) it out loud, but, this month, php|architect turns five! To celebrate the release of our sixtieth issue (which was actually November), we have decided to remove all password protection from the PDFs you download from our sites (that is, both php|architect and Pymag). As our publisher Marco Tabini explains in this post on his blog:

This means that every PDF you download from our sites (that is, from both php|a and PyMag) starting from today will no longer require a password for opening—including any product that you have purchased from us in the past and that you download again now.

So, there you have it—from now on, every PDF you download from us will no longer require a password; this will make our files play nicer with your desktop search applications, which will finally be able to index them, and with readers that allow you to add annotations and bookmarks. Enjoy!
